At least 12 months chimney sweeping experience

MSB Rosersberg, Nr Arlanda Airport, Stockholm, Sweden

£260.00 +VAT. This includes:

 

• The course fees

• Accomodation for 3 nights (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday night)

• Food - Breakfast(Wed/Thu/Fri) - Lunch (Wed/Thu/Fri) - Evening Meal (Wed/Thu)

Getting There

​

You must arrange your own flight to and from Arlanda Airport, nr Stockholm

There are 20 places available for this course with 10 places already reserved

PPE:

​

The only PPE required are protective shoes, work trousers with knee pads(Kneeling pads are available). If you have an association shirt or polo shirt then this is preferred over casual wear, as all the Swedish Chimney Sweeps will be in their uniform.

Itinerary:

​

Tuesday 4th Feb

 

• Fly to MSB training facility located near Arlanda Airport, Stockholm

​

Wednesday 5th Feb 

​

• Classroom Theory - General explanations about sweeping and stove installation regulations, comparing Swedish and UK regulations. 

​

Thursday 6th Feb

 

• Practical - There will be 4 different practical areas, where it will be explained how each inspection is carried and certified. You will be shown methods of measuring temperature, leak testing, different types of pressure testing and other ways of measuring using digital devices.

​

• In  the afternoon there will be approximately 30 Swedish Chimney Sweeps arriving to carry out Power Sweep Training which is being run on Friday by RPS

​

• In the evening a 3 course meal with the Swedish Chimney Sweeps, this will be a bit messy as there is also a small pub on site at the accomodation!

​

Friday 7th Feb

​

• Nick Snook of RPS will be running a Power Sweep Training Course for the Swedish Chimney Sweeps

​

• UK Chimney Sweeps depart for the UK after lunch or some are going into Stockholm for the weekend and flying home on the Sunday

​
